The Calcium Colada: A Delicious Mocktail for Stronger Bones

Published by Solarea BioAug 15, 2025

Bone health doesn’t have to be boring. With The Calcium Colada, you can sip your way to a stronger skeleton all summer long. This tropical mocktail is a refreshing twist on the classic Piña Colada, blending pineapple, fortified coconut milk, and chia seeds into a frothy, nutrient-packed treat.

It’s rich in calcium, magnesium, manganese, and omega-3s—all of which help support healthy bones. Want to take it a step further? Add collagen peptides, Greek yogurt, or spinach for an extra nutritional boost.

Pro Tip: Alcohol can interfere with calcium absorption and may contribute to bone loss.¹ While you could spike your Colada, we recommend keeping it booze-free for optimal bone benefits.

The Calcium Colada

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup pineapple juice: Rich in manganese, a trace mineral that helps regulate bone formation and breakdown.²
  • ½ cup fortified coconut milk or coconut water: Look for labels that include calcium and other minerals that support bone density.³
  • ½ tsp chia seeds: These tiny seeds deliver a plant-based boost of calcium, magnesium, and omega-3s.⁴⁻⁵
  • Optional: 1 serving magnesium powder (as directed on the package) Magnesium helps maintain bone mineral density and supports bone-building cells.⁶
  • Garnish: Pineapple slice

Instructions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender with ice.
  2. Blend until smooth and frothy.
  3. Pour into a glass and garnish with a pineapple slice.

Bone-Boosting Upgrades:

  • Magnesium: Helps maintain bone mineral density and supports bone-building cells.⁶
  • Greek Yogurt: Adds protein and probiotics to help maintain bone mass.⁷
  • Spinach: Naturally high in calcium and vitamin K—two nutrients essential for maintaining bone density.⁸⁻⁹
  • Collagen Peptides: Support your bone matrix and joint health.¹⁰

Take with your twice-daily dose of Bondia™, clinically shown to improve bone density in people with bone loss.
